Three brokers. Three marquee transactions. One exceptional year.

In 2025, APG’s top three brokers led the firm not only in transaction volume, but in the execution of some of the most impactful deals across the Triangle and the Carolinas – each closing a defining transaction that reflects deep market knowledge, trusted relationships, and disciplined execution.

#1   Vice President Sherry Wilborn emerged as a power broker in Person County, providing seller representation in the $19 million sale of the 246,000-square-foot former GKN Automotive advanced manufacturing facility – a transformative industrial transaction with meaningful economic development implications. With a strong background in economic development and deep local roots, Sherry continues to serve as a trusted advisor across Person County and the northern Triangle. Among other notable deals closed in 2025, Sherry also represented the seller in the $1.2 million sale of The Carolina Estate, a prominent Roxboro event venue.

#2    Senior Vice President David Stroud, a leader on APG’s Industrial team and 2025 President of the Triangle Commercial Association of REALTORS® (TCAR), provided seller representation in the $24.6 million sale of a 310,000-square-foot industrial building in Greensboro, one of the year’s most significant industrial transactions. Also of note this year, David led the successful disposition of a 79,465-square-foot institutional-grade industrial asset in Anderson, South Carolina, reinforcing APG’s industrial reach across the Carolinas.

#3   David Batten, Senior Vice President and APG’s Broker-in-Charge, completed the top three with seller representation in the $13.35 million sale of 91 acres in Durham, a mixed-use land transaction years in the making, now slated to become the largest mixed-use district in Durham to date. Universally respected by APG’s brokerage team for his mentorship, collaboration, and leadership, David is a senior member of the Land team, providing buyer representation, seller representation, and strategic consultation services.  Also noteworthy was David’s buyer representation – alongside Frank Quinn and Greyson Tavolacci – in the $6.4 million acquisition of 28 acres in Fuquay-Varina, where a stalled deal was rapidly repositioned and brought to closing through teamwork and local insight.

Together, Sherry Wilborn, David Stroud, and David Batten closed more than $81 million in transactions in 2025.

“Results like these don’t happen by accident. They’re earned through preparation, discipline, and a willingness to put the client and the team first. Sherry, David, and David exemplify the standard we expect at APG.”
John Zemet, Chief Investment Officer & Chief Operating Officer, APG Companies
