The Buyer is Lester Development, a Virginia-based real estate investment and development company, Lester Development has a broad footprint across VA, WV, the Carolinas, and GA, with holdings in commercial, residential, timberland, and full-service building supply operations. Their purchase of the Clemson Research Blvd site is the second of two major acquisitions this year, where APG provided Buyer Representation as part of a 1031 exchange.
Jim Anthony, Founder and CEO of APG Companies, as well as Managing Member of the LLC and seller in this transaction, said, “APG is pleased to have made a full cycle investment and development industrial property investment in Anderson, SC in Clemson Research Park. We bought a 68,000 square-foot sale/leaseback leased to a plastic manufacturer specializing in the automotive industry. We then added 12,000 SF to the building, restructured the lease to a new 15-year term, and sold it to a great investment group from Southern Virginia.
